Located at Darsait, Muscat City, in the dynamic, progressive and forward looking land of Sultanate of Oman, the Indian School Darsait, a dream come true for many enterprising expatriate men and women with a vision for the future, stormed into existence in 1992-93.  The dual advantage of maintaining the cultural identity of the expatriate community and the ability of the children to eventually orient to face the admission process to the professional and other courses has made it an instantly sought-after educational centre. Indian School Darsait, started as a sister concern of Indian School Muscat in 1992, blossomed as an independent identity in 1994 and moved into the present building with all advanced facilities required for a modern school in July 1998. The school is located in two magnificent buildings one each for Primary and Secondary / Higher Secondary. The school started with a mere 127 students and 6 teachers and within a span of nearly 15 years, it has grown more than 19 times to a strength of about 2599  students (boys  and girls almost equal), 111 academic staff and 14 administrative staff, in 2009.  The school follows syllabi prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and offers Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Biology, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Multimedia & Web Technology and Marketing as elective subjects in addition to English to the students of Classes XI and XII.
