74th Independence Day

                                                      Patriotic Fervor & Positivity Mark Independence Day Celebrations at ISD 

Indian School Darsait organized the 74th Independence Day celebration of India on Saturday 15 August at 7.30 am on Google Meet with patriotic fervour, positivity, gaiety and enthusiasm. Mr. Jaikish Pavithran, President, School Management Committee was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The other dignitaries who joined the event were Mr. Sirajudeen Nhelat, Director, BoD and Director in Charge ISD, Mr. Sebastian Chungath, Vice President, and other esteemed Members of SMC. Moreover, Mr. Alexander Gee Varghese, Acting Principal led Team ISD and Vice Principal, Primary Section, Assistant Vice Principals, Supervisors, Coordinators, HoDs, staff members, parents, students and a good number of well-wishers of ISD took part very actively in the celebration.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest conveyed profuse thanks and deep appreciation to all who joined the celebration on the virtual platform even in the midst of global pandemic COVID-19. He further read out the message delivered by the Honourable President of India, Sri Ram Nath Kovind on the Eve of 74th Independence Day of India.  The celebrations started with a melodious rendition of the National Anthem of India, following which Akarsh Vincent, Deputy Head Boy extended a warm and cordial welcome to everyone to the function.

The other highlights were a Patriotic Melody which aroused the love for our motherland and Vande Mataram, a spectacular dance that beautifully depicted the rich and varied Indian culture. The event which was live streamed on Google Meet, Facebook and YouTube concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Abhirami Rajeev, Deputy Head Girl.
