NEWLY ELECTED YOUNG LEADERS PINNED WITH RESPONSIBILITIES AT ISD

                                             

Indian School Darsait organized Investiture Ceremony of the office bearers of the Student Council for the academic year 2021-22 on 29 August 2021 on a virtual platform. Mr. Ajit Vasudevan, Convenor and Head of Academic & ICT Subcommittees, School Management Committee was the Chief Guest. Mr. Alexander Gee Varghese Vice Principal, extended a cordial welcome to the Chief Guest and the august gathering of dignitaries, school administrators, staff, parents and students.

The newly elected leaders for the AY 2021-22:  Benson Binu Philip - Head Boy; Niranjana Pramod Nair - Head Girl; B Sanjay - Assistant Head Boy;  Mahirah Malik - Assistant Head Girl; Gayathri Manuraj -Sports Captain; Abhirami Pradeep -Cultural Secretary; Ganga K Girish - Literary Secretary;  Saurav Vinod Nair - IT Secretary; Alfred Joseph - HSE Secretary; Magandha Dinesh - Deputy Head Boy;  Bhavika Maliakkal Biju – Deputy Head Girl; John Adams Kurian & Bhavya Maliakkal Biju – Deputy Sports Captains; Aiswarya Babu – Deputy Cultural Secretary; Mohammed Rayyan Ul Bari – Deputy Literary Secretary; Nathaniel George Philip- Deputy IT Secretary; Aisha Nizar Hussian – Deputy HSE Secretary were  proudly called out and their credentials were acknowledged. Further, the names and credentials of General Prefects, & House Council including House Coordinators, Captains, Vice Captains of four Houses - Bapu, C.V Raman, Tagore & Vivekananda were read out and they would in turn be bestowed with the badges of honour. Mr. Amar Srivastava, Principal administered the oath of office to the new leaders and exhorted them to discharge their duties to the best of their abilities for the glory and honour of their institution and to serve with pride and humility those entrusted to their care.

Mr. Sebastian Chungath, President, School Management Committee in his address congratulated the young leaders for their hard work and commitment and called upon them to be a role model in all walks of life, primarily in their behaviour towards everyone and then to have a mind of service by guiding others to reach their objectives and goals of life.

Sharing her experience as a school leader Mrs. Blessy Diana Shijin, Vice President School Management Committee felicitated them for their new roles and responsibilities. She further urged them to do the right thing and stand up for truth.

Delivering the keynote address the Chief Guest said, “We have tall expectations about you and I am sure you will surpass our expectations, you should have a balanced judgement and set an example for others”. He further advised them to complete all tasks successfully as a team quoting the story of Arjuna and Karna in Bhagavad Gita. He further implored the newly elected leaders to follow five simple things in order to become good leaders - to do the right thing always, to help others in need, to guide other on the right path and set a good example and be the role model and stand up for others even when it is the hardest thing to do.

On behalf of Student Council, the Head Girl delivered her acceptance speech. She spoke emphatically on the nobility of their positions, swore their support and allegiance to the school and promised to discharge their duties and responsibilities as keen participants and role models, while the Head Boy proposed vote of thanks and expressed his profound gratitude to each and every one especially the Chief Guest, invitees and parents for sparing their valuable time in making the day a very memorable one. The school choir created a solemn ambience with melodious and motivational songs.
