                                                                     Iterating patriotic fervor & zeal!!!

Indian School Darsait organized 73rd Republic Day of India and Art Exhibition on a virtual platform. The function began solemnly with the National Anthem of India. Mr. Amar Srivastava, Principal extended a warm and cordial welcome to the Chief Guest, dignitaries along with the ISD family. He said that today’s celebration would be interspersed with patriotic fervor and the glorious achievements of India’s 75 years of Independence and 73 glorious years of India as a Republic. He further called upon the students to be the goodwill ambassadors of this remarkable feat.

 The Chief Guest on the occasion Mr. Vinodkumar K, Head - Parent Relations Subcommittee & Head – Health, Safety and Environment Subcommittee of School Management Committee greeted one and all with the ardour and fervour of the day. He wished that the celebration would give our children an opportunity to think about the sacrifices of our national leaders. He emphasized that the present generation must recognize the freedom fighters’ contributions and the path that had led to Independent India.  He proudly read out ‘the excerpts of the President of India’s message to the nation on the Eve of Republic Day’.

 The attractions of the day’s celebration were a patriotic and melodious group song by the students of primary section, a sweet rendition of patriotic melody by the students of senior section and a scintillating dance performance ‘Bharatheeyam’ by the students of both primary and senior sections. It was a delineation of the cultural diversity of India which instilled a passion in every heart with pride for our great country.  

The day was also marked with a spectacular virtual Art Exhibition which was inaugurated by Mrs. Shamah Shamsuddin, Head - Cocurricular & Cultural Subcommittee and Head - Inclusive Education Subcommittee, School Management Committee. She lauded the efforts of the student artists for showcasing their talent. Definitely, the glimpses of the art exhibits themed ‘Unity in Diversity of India/Cultural Diversity of India’ awarded many with mesmerizing moments to carry home.  

Among the dignitaries who attended the function were Mr. Sebastian Chungath, President, Mrs. Blessy Diana Shijin, Vice President and, other esteemed members of School Management Committee. Mrs. Geeta Chauhan, Vice Principal, Primary Section proposed the vote of thanks reiterating the exemplary works of all those associated as a team with the day’s programme on a virtual platform and its superb execution.
