Indian School Darsait organized Academic Excellence Awards Ceremony on 7 August 2025 at the Senior School Auditorium to honour the remarkable achievements of its students. The function commenced with a soulful invocation dance followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Ajmal Ayoob, IT Secretary of the Student Council, welcomed the Chief Guest, Dr. Moosa Abdullah Al Kindi, Dean, Modern College of Business and Science, along with the Guest of Honour, Dr. Samiya Al Raisi, Director, National Rehabilitation House, National University of Science and Technology, all members of the School Management Committee and invitees, awardees and their parents.
Mr. Shalimar Moideen, President, School Management Committee, addressed the august gathering extending heartfelt congratulations to students, teachers and parents. In his inspiring speech, he underscored the importance of cultivating essential life skills to thrive in an ever-evolving world. He emphasized that qualities such as adaptability, resilience, effective communication, technological proficiency, and critical thinking are not merely desirable, they are indispensable for mastering life’s challenges and be future ready.
Delivering the keynote address, the Chief Guest inspired the awardees and fellow students by urging them to remain steadfast in their pursuit of excellence, encouraging qualities such as hard work, curiosity, perseverance, and relentless effort as the cornerstones of future success. He further commended on the role of school in fostering the culture of excellence and holistic development for shaping not only achievers but also responsible citizens and future leaders.
The guest of honour congratulated the students for the outstanding academic performance stating, “More than individual success it is the reflection of the values, vision and potential that extend far into the future”. She further added that the discipline, focus and resilience shown by the students are not only indicators of academic excellence but are the foundations for future leadership, innovations and meaningful contribution to society.
The highlights of the day were the distribution of prizes and certificates honouring the exceptional accomplishments of students who achieved outstanding results in Class X and XII Board Examinations as well as students who attained commendable success.
The Chief Guest did the honours for the toppers of Class XII - Malavika Manoj (Science Stream) and Raano John Roby (Commerce Stream); Subject National Toppers: Davis Puthenpurackal Thomas, Akshay Pramod Thadathil, and Raano John Roby; Class X Topper, Heshitha Ramesh Jayanthi; Subject National Toppers Nakshatra Rajeshkumar Panganchariyadath, Rufaiq Hassan Ibrahim, Heshitha Ramesh Jayanthi, Heranya Ramesh Jayanthi, and the students who secured A1 in all subjects in classes XII and X
The teachers, Mrs. Fathima P. Aliyar, Mrs. Roilet Sherlin Noronha, Mrs. Kala Madhu, Mrs. Madhavi Rajreddygari, and Mrs. Noorjahan Nasar, whose guidance and mentorship were instrumental in producing national toppers in their respective subjects were also felicitated by the chief guest.
The Guest of Honour gave away the prizes and certificates to the Second and Third Toppers of Class XII Science and Commerce and the subject toppers of Class XII, while the President of School Management Committee conferred the prizes and certificates of the Second and Third Toppers, and the Subject Toppers of Class X. The Head of the institution, Mr. Amar Srivastava, distributed the Principal’s Honour awards to students of Classes X and XII.
The Senior School Choir mesmerised the audience with a soulful performance elevating the evening’s joyous atmosphere. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Joel Bejoy, HSE Secretary of the Student Council. The event ended with the Royal Anthem of Oman and the National Anthem of India.
