Indian School Darsait hosted the Class XII Graduation Ceremony 2025 - 26 on 05 February in a
solemn and memorable manner, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of its
graduating students.
Dr. Hilal Hamood Mohammed Al Rahbi, Dean, College of Applied and Health Sciences,
A’Sharqiyah University, Sultanate of Oman, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Dr. Shameem
Basheer Mohammed, Head – ICT Subcommittee, School Management Committee, attended as
Guest of Honour, while Dr. Surendra Swami, Director, Board of Directors, Indian Schools in
Oman and Director in charge of ISD, presided over the ceremony.
The event commenced with the Royal Anthem of Oman and the National Anthem of India,
followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting and invocation prayer. Principal Mr. Amar Srivastava
extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, members of the School Management Committee,
parents, invitees, staff and graduands. Class teachers proudly presented their students, who,
resplendent in graduation robes and caps, received mementos, graduation certificates and
certificates of excellence from the Chief Guest and other dignitaries.
In his Presidential Address, Mr. Shabeer Shamsuddin, Convener and Head – Purchase
Subcommittee, School Management Committee, reflected on graduation as a moment of
gratitude and growth. He urged students to upskill, uphold excellence, and make ethical,
compassionate decisions, reminding them that progress without values remains incomplete.
The Chief Guest, in his Felicitation Address, lauded the school for nurturing students beyond
academics, instilling broader perspectives and life skills. He emphasized that success is built on
consistency, discipline, and commitment, encouraging students to enjoy the journey while
striving for excellence. He also highlighted the importance of choosing the right friends and
company to achieve their goals.
Head Boy Akshay Ajith and Head Girl Keyina Mariam Sojan shared nostalgic reflections on their
school journey. As a token of gratitude, the Class XII students presented a thoughtful gift to the
school. Vice Principal (Senior Section) Mrs. Shamshad Hamza proposed the vote of thanks.
The ceremony concluded with the Principal’s inspiring exhortation on life’s values, followed by
the traditional ‘Corridor of Blessings’, marking an emotional and graceful farewell to the Class
of 2025–26.
